The nSens sensors are digital sensors, i.e. they directly contain the identification data such as serial number and calibration data on the sensor. The nSens calculates the correct final values and transmits them digitally via nBus (Novasina bus protocol which is especially energy-saving) to the various transmitters or data loggers.

nSens-HT are sensors for humidity&Temperature

nSens-T sensors for temperature

nSens-dP sensor for differential pressure

The nSens requires a transmitter for integration into automation, control and monitoring systems.

To connect nSens sensors to your control or monitoring system, you need transmitters that provide continuous and internationally standardized signals.

Novasina has different transmitters with standardized communication, so that the integration is easy and flexible. Transmitters (nlink) with analog signals mA / V as well as Modbus are available.

To connect to smartphones or Windows PCs for data recording or calibration, use the nlink USB.

Novasina offers nSens cables up to 100m in length. These cables can also be extended using suitable shielded cables. The power is supplied via the transmitter, the cable length has no influence on this.

Novasina recommends an annual interval for checking the sensors. The nSens digital probes can be easily unplugged and calibrated externally. Use saturated salt solutions SAL-SC or a high quality handheld mobile meter for checking.

The probes do not otherwise require maintenance. Dirt should be removed with a damp (not wet) cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or disinfectants directly on the probe.

By means of a USB cable (nlink-USB-Pro), nSens sensors can be easily connected to the PC to calibrate values. The free software nSoft-Cal takes over the adjustment of the characteristic curve.

Novasina SAL-SC saturated salt solutions are ideally suited as reference values. Climatic chambers or reference measurements with a suitable mobile device can also be used.

In order not to interrupt the measurement chain, the nSens can also be led out of a room by means of an extension cable for calibration.

The measurement chain can be easily verified with an nSens-HT-VAL (electronic simulator). Replace the actual nSens sensor with the nSens-HT-VAL and verify the values on your controller. In case of deviations, check the cabling and calibrate the signal outputs of the transmitter if necessary.

If the temperature is displayed correctly but the humidity is at 0 (or minus value) then the sensor module is damaged. The nSens must be replaced.

Check out the data logger for decentralized data recording. These standalone loggers are suitable for long-term recording of climate data and can be conveniently evaluated on the PC.

By means of nlink-USB-Pro you can also use the nSens for data recording on the PC or smartphone.
